Insect Identification & Control Product Testing

Hygeia Laboratories has the experience and capability to identify unknown insects and test many types of insect control products. We can conduct laboratory or field evaluations on the efficacy of baits to control ants, cockroaches and termites. Furthermore, we can test contact poisons against ants, cockroaches, termites, flies, and other insects, and we are willing to test novel pest control approaches. Protocols for tests can be designed, or we can use protocols supplied by industry partners. Written reports of the efficacy of the test product will be provided, including an appropriate statistical evaluation of the results.

Able to test:
     - Baits for ants, cockroaches, and termites
     - Contact poisons for ants, cockroaches, termites, flies, and other insects
     - Willing to test novel pest control approaches

Testing methods:
     - Laboratory tests
     - Field tests, including in an urban setting

Qualifications:
     - Ph.D. in Entomology
     - Seven years of conducting research at the Center for Urban Entomology,
          Texas A&M University
     - Continuous association with industry, testing products since 1992
